Last Minute Updates

This chapter contains important information which might not be included in the documentation found in your distribution. Please read this chapter before contacting SICStus technical support.

• IRIX: Tcl/Tk is not supported.
• IRIX and HP/UX 9.x: the flag --enable-cc must be passed to configure during installation.
• Windows 95/98/NT: Do not install SICStus in a directory which has one or more periods (.) in it. If you do, you will not be able to load any library modules that include foreign code. It seems that LoadLibrary() cannot handle paths with periods in them.
• Under SunOS 5.x: In order to run the Jasper examples, you need to download and install the library sources (specifically the file simple.pl). The examples can then be built and run by doing

  % make run_queens run_simple1
  

  In the examples directory $SP_PATH/library/jasper/examples. For more info, see `README' in that directory.
• Jasper under Solaris (SunOS 5.x) does not work together with Java native threads. The following error message will appear:

  You must install a Solaris patch to run the native threads version of
  the Java runtime.  The green threads version will work without this
  patch.  Please check the native threads release notes for more
  information.  Exiting.
